Another freight train was sent by the Baku-Tbilisi-Kars railway
The first freight train was sent via the new BTK railway from Kazakhstan’s Kokshetau on October 24. The train loaded with grain.
The same block train from the Turkish port of Mersin was sent back to Kazakhstan. In honor of this, an event was also held in Mersin. The event was attended by the Director General of Railway Transport of the Republic of Turkey Veisi Kurt, the Governor of Mersin, representatives of ADY Express and KTZ Express.
It should be noted that the second train on the Baku-Tbilisi-Kars route left Kazakhstan on November 27.
It should be reminded that on October 30, 2017 the opening of the Baku-Tbilisi-Kars railway was held. The total length of the railway line is 846 km, the 504-kilometer part of the railway passes through Azerbaijan. Meanwhile, 263 kilometers- through Georgia, and 79 kilometers – through Turkey.
