Austria intends to realize infrastructure projects together with Azerbaijan
A meeting with the delegation led by Andreas Reichardt, Secretary General of the Austrian Ministry of Transport, Innovations & Technologies has been held at Azerbaijan Railways (ADY).
ADY reports that its chair Javid Gurbanov informed the guests about the reforms carried out in the sphere of railways, Trans-Caspian International Transport Route, transport corridors North-South, South-West and, in particular, railway line Baku-Tbilisi-Kars, the opening of which took place last October.
Having told about business forum “Strategic partnership 1520: Central Europe” held in Vienna on 20-22 February 2018, Javid Gurbanov informed about the meetings within the forum with his Austrian colleagues, including Austrian Parliament’s MP and president of the Austria-Azerbaijan Bilateral Parliamentary Group.
In his turn, Andreas Reichardt stressed expansion of economic ties between Azerbaijan and Austria in recent years. He added that the Austrian side is interested in further strengthening of those ties and participation in infrastructure projects.
Then the parties discussed bilateral cooperation. A decision was made on further expansion of existing ties and partnership.
The meeting also involved Azerbaijani ambassador Galib Israfilov to Austria and Austrian ambassador Axel Wech to Azerbaijan.
