Chairman of “Azerbaijan Railways” CJSC Javid Gurbanov visited the Stadler Minsk plant
The delegation of Azerbaijan Railways CJSC, which is on a visit to Belarus, visited the Stadler Minsk plant of the Swiss company’s Stadler Rail Group. Chairman of “Azerbaijan Railways” CJSC met with the official representative of the company Sergey Karpovich. Then, the enterprise reviewed the two-storey electric trains and bed wagons, which were assembled by order of “Azerbaijan Railways” CJSC. The head of the project, Martin Halmo, informed about the technical indicators and advantages of trains. Spacious and lightweight lounge, comfortable seats and modern information center system provide high level of comfort for passengers. Spacious entry areas speed up and facilitate the entry and exit of passengers. The trains are equipped with a specially designed air-conditioning system taking into account the climatic conditions of Azerbaijan. Access to Wi fi is provided in all passenger cabins. During the visit, the delegation was also informed about the production capacity of “Stadler Minsk” company. It was noted that the plant, which has been in production since 2014 as part of the Stadler Group, releases City domestic, City and interregional trains, metro trains and trams, and other necessary technical equipment. The industrial enterprise specializes in the production of trains for wide-gauge railways of the CIS countries. The maximum production capacity of the plant is 150 aliminium wagons and 100 steel sections per year. The speed of operation of 919 passenger trains is 160 km per hour. The Stadler Minsk plant produces transport equipment for the orders of the CIS countries, including the Belarusian railway.
