ADY Express continues сargo transportation via BTQ
Despite the global coronavirus pandemic (COVID-19), a subsidiary of Azerbaijan Railways CJSC, ADY Express LLC continues to carry out domestic, as well as international transit cargo transportation in import and export mode. Despite the fact that the company is operating remotely, it provides uninterrupted transportation of goods.
One of the main areas of activity is cargo transportation via Baku-Tbilisi-Kars. Thus, within the restrictions imposed in the world and in our country, ADY Express, along with its partners in other countries, continues to transport goods via the Baku-Tbilisi-Kars railway as before. In the first 3 months of 2020, ADY Express LLC transported a total of 17,817 tons or 337 freight wagons through BTK, most of them are rolled steel. For comparison, in 2019, the total volume of cargo transported via BTK and amounted to 25,193 tons.
It should be noted that due to the spread of the coronavirus epidemic in the world, the demand for rail transportation has increased. The reason for this is the possibility to transport more goods with less people. At the same time, in order to prevent the danger posed by coronavirus, the risk of spreading the disease is minimized due to the implementation of preventive disinfection measures on all freight trains entering the country.
ADY Express LLC, which operates remotely and on a rotational basis, while adhering to the special quarantine regime applied by Azerbaijan government, urges the public strictly observe the quarantine regime.
