Expanding internship opportunities for Azerbaijan Technical University (AzTU) students

A meeting with the delegation of Azerbaijan Technical University (AzTU) was held at the Azerbaijan Railways CJSC.
Chairman of Azerbaijan Railways CJSC Javid Gurbanov spoke about the necessary steps to increase the interest of young professionals in the railway industry and noted the possibility of creating favorable conditions for close monitoring of the work process in this area. At the meeting were discussed the areas that require knowledge and skills of young people. They exchanged views on the creation of internship opportunities to apply their theoretical knowledge in relevant specialties.
Rector of AzTU Vilayat Valiyev said that before the meeting he got acquainted with the work process at the Baku Railway Station, as well as other stations and depots. He noted that the university is interested in training personnel in the field of railway transport and economy. If necessary, it is possible to create new specialties in the university to train the required specialists in this field. Professional and qualified specialists from Azerbaijan Railways CJSC can be invited for the training process. Students’ involvement in the work process by their specialties will allow them to gain effective experience in their future activities.
The meeting continued with discussions on expanding the internship opportunities for students and graduates.
