Transit opportunities in Azerbaijan were presented to large cargo owners
The 12th international conference “Railway transportation of mining and metallurgical cargoes” was held in Moscow (Russia). During the two-day conference, representatives of large mining and metallurgical companies, as well as representatives of leading transport and logistics companies, discussed the issues of carrying capacity and the availability of a rolling stock in the context of high demand for coal and metals. Experts and leading analysts shared their views on the changes in the railway market in terms of new realities. The main topics of this year’s conference were the impact of changes in the coal and metals market on the organization of transportation of mining and metallurgical cargo, bandwidth struggle, new routes and railway infrastructure, the position of cargo owners, the rolling stock market for the transportation of mining and metallurgical cargo, etc.
At the event,representatives of “ADY Express” LLC presented their option for the transportation of these types of cargo through the territory of Azerbaijan. Bringing the capabilities of the Azerbaijan Railways, as well as major infrastructure projects such as Baku-Tbilisi-Kars, to the attention of the conference participants, the company representatives demonstrated the superiority of the transit routes, passing through Azerbaijan, to Turkey, Europe and other countries. It was noted that the opportunities of the Baku-Tbilisi-Kars railway are more profitable in comparison with traditional routes. Presenting a logistics solution for the delivery of cargo from Russia to Turkey, as well as to third countries, representatives of ADY Express demonstrated their logistics product in this market.
During the conference, ADY Express representatives held bilteral meetings with major cargo owners of Russia and other countries.
It should be noted that more than 200 delegates and business representatives from Russia, Kazakhstan, Ukraine, Belarus, Finland, Norway, Latvia, Germany, Poland and other countries took part in the conference.
