It is about the 20 km long Baku-Surakhani-Sabunchu railway. Since then, due to the increasing demand for rail freight, the steel line of the country has grown and improved. On October 3, 1955, by the Decree No. 1773 of the USSR Council of Ministers Azerbaijan Railways, which for a very long time had been a part of Transcaucasia railways, were declared an independent railway.
